Winner of Best Waste / Recycling Project 2017

Tipperary County Council held its annual Tidy School Competition in April 2017.

Schools were visited and judged with regard to their litter management policy, litter awareness, tidiness of their school grounds and the schools overall appreciation of the environment.

There were 44 entries were received County wide, with prize money totaling over €8200 being awarded.

Some of the categories schools were judged on included, Best New Entry, Best School Garden and Most Consistent School.

Thanks to the excellent work of the staff and students, Drom National School won the Best Waste / Recycling Project in the Templemore-Thurles District. Particular thanks is due to Edite, our cleaner and Johnny, our caretaker who maintain our school environs to the highest standards.
