They say time flies when you’re having fun—and that’s certainly been the case here at Drom NS during Term 2! In fact, things have been so busy that our beloved school newsletter, Drom NewS, will now be issued on a termly basis instead of monthly. But don’t worry—it will still be packed with exciting student stories, upcoming events, and all the essential school updates you love.
Term 2 was bursting with activity. In January, we celebrated Catholic Schools Week and took part in a dynamic coding workshop led by Pamela O’Brien from TUS Thurles Campus. February brought a special trip for our Third to Sixth Class students, who visited TUS once again—this time to mark their involvement in the Exploring the Sustainable Development Goals through Coding project. We also proudly took part in the Credit Union Quiz, represented by enthusiastic teams from Third & Fourth and Fifth & Sixth classes.
March was a whirlwind of excitement! We took part in the Peace Proms, flipped our way through Pancake Tuesday, participated in World Book Day, celebrated St. Patrick’s Day, and hosted a hugely successful Bake Sale in support of the Irish Cancer Society.
By April, we were ‘Singing into Spring’ with Music Generation Tipperary, finishing up our gymnastics sessions with School Fitness Ireland, and hitting the pitch for an U11 Hurling Blitz.
