Monday:
Look at the bottom row. How can you use the first number (4) and the second number (2) to make the 12 on the second row.
Look at the bottom row again. How can you use the second number (2) and the third number (1) to make the first 4 on the second row.
Can you see the pattern? Keep going.
Tuesday:
Start by pouring the 12 litres into the 8 litre containers. So 4, 8, 0.
Next, pour the 8 litres into the 5 litre container. So, 4, 3, 5.
